ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS & PERMITS

When it comes to putting together a building project, there are a lot of technicalities and details to consider. For example, you might have an image in your mind of what you’d like, but aren’t quite sure how it translates into the real world. Then there are things like permits, which most municipalities require before beginning any kind of construction at all. If you have a project in mind, but don’t know where to begin, let us help.

Before beginning construction, we put together architectural drawings which lay out the entirety of our construction plans. These drawings will include all the vital information that our builders need to actually construct the porch, deck, or other project you have in mind. This means we’ll be listing things like elevations, site plans, safety details, materials, and systems notes, in addition to the actual drawing of the project.

So why is it important that we do our own architectural drawings? There are a number of reasons. For one thing, getting an outside party to do architectural drawings can be costly and time-consuming. Additionally, when we are operating with full architectural drawings we are able to ensure that our cost estimates are as accurate as possible and there are no hidden expenses which crop up later. We know exactly what we’re working with, what we’re capable of, and we can keep unexpected delays and issues to a bare minimum.

This also allows us to take care of acquiring building permits. Although permits require only the most minimal amount of information to be included, we put together full plans and provide them to local jurisdiction before we break ground. After decades of experience in the area, we have an excellent relationship and reputation with the city, allowing us to expedite the permit process so that we can begin working on your project as soon as possible.
